This house at 4880 County Route 11 (East Lake Road) was built in the 1840s. Unfortunately it was demolished about 2014 to make way for a new and much larger house. Richard Palmer blog.
There is a street address number discrepancy between 476 stated by Roudabush, versus the current and correct address 4880 stated by Palmer. 2013 Google Earth View confirmed that the cobblestone structure existed at the 4880 address provided. The above GPS coordinates show the exact location of the original cobblestone structure (center of building).
Editor's Note: Schmidt incorrectly states location as just south of the Ontario-Yates County Line, whereas the structure matching the description is located just north of the Ontario-Yates County Line in the town of Gorham. Ontario County.
